The Story

VisitLiverpool.com is a City Council run website, showcasing the city’s exciting offerings and experiences. As restrictions eased away, Liverpool City Council wanted to encourage footfall back to the city centre to aid Liverpool’s tourism recovery. The main campaign objective was to generate interest and bookings on VisitLiverpool.com in the experiences offered- such as attractions, museums and galleries, tours and exhibitions.

The Solution

The target audience were people local to Liverpool, families with children who hadn’t started school, and couples yet to start families and settle down. To meet the objectives, it was paramount that the campaign showcased the exciting and inspiring offering of the city, tapping into the freedom of being able to go out and enjoy time with family/partners. 

Within the strategy, we ensured we were selecting the most effective media channels and environments to place these creatives, to target each audience efficiently. Firstly, we utilised video creatives so audiences would associate Visit Liverpool with quality content in high impact digital environments. We then ran the campaign on a range of digital channels using Programmatic, Paid Social and online Press Advertorials, to drive click throughs and visits to the website. Here, we used carousels to showcase the different city activities in a clear and engaging manner.
